OUT REACH PROGRAMMES
A part from the above courses the Indian Institute
of Fashion Technology conducts the following out reach
programmes:
a).
Out reach programmes for garment factories
b). Community development programmes
c). Pre release/ post release programmes for retiring
defence personnel /VRS optees of Central/ State Government/
Public Sector undertakings.
a). OUT REACH PROGRAMMES FOR GARMENT FACTORIES:
The Indian Institute of Fashion Technology will conduct
specialized training programmes at the premises of garment
factories any where in India, Nepal, SriLanka and Bangladesh
on specific areas of Apparel Technology depending upon
the requirements of the factory.
The
concerned factories requiring such short term training
programmes can write/ contact the Indian Institute of
Fashion Technology giving details of the areas in which
training is to be imparted and the number of participants
and the profile of the participants so that the Institute
can devise a custom made training module for them .
The
factory will be required to meet the Boarding, Lodging
and Transportation (To and Fro) from the Bangalore city
for the course faculty and Course Director apart from
the training charges which can be negotiated based on
the course content.
b).
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS:
The
Indian Institute of fashion Technology would be prepared
to conduct the women empowerment oriented training programes
in any part of Karnataka including urban, semi urban
and rural areas on behalf of reputed NGO's and Social
Service Organizations or government departments engaged
in the upliftment of women and where necessary we shall
make available the required course material translated
into Kannada for the sake of rural women.
This
program assumes significance as the Karnataka Government
has launched the Women Empowerment programs like Sthree
Shakthi and Swayam Siddi and we could be part of these
schemes in empowering the rural women by providing them
with the necessary skills through specialised and advanced
training and enable them to achieve financial independence
through self employment and entreprenuership.

RELEASE/ POST RELEASE PROGRAMMES FOR RETIRING DEFENCE
PERSONNEL/VRS OPTEES OF CENTRAL/ STATE GOVERNMENT/ PUBLIC
SECTOR UNDERTAKINGS
Special
corporate courses can be devised and conducted at subsidized
fees for the benefit of service personnel who are due
to retire in the form of pre-release courses and also
for VRS Optees Of Central/ State Government/ Public
Sector Undertakings and retrain them to make them suitable
for employment in civilian streams in responsible positions.
