Indian Institute of Fashion Technology, a Limca book record holder conducts its unique Annual Fashion Show in which their talented budding designers unleashes creative ensembles displayed by sizzling models on a specially designed ramp at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore, in front of a jam packed audience.

The themes of the show includes Traditional, Ethnic, Western, Indo Western, Greek, Egyptian, Tribal art as well as various art forms. The colours used indicates various messages to the audience. The fabrics used ranges from Velvet, Lycra, Taffeta, Barso, Chiffon, Georgette, Silk ,Jersey, Glass Tissue, Brocades, Jute silk, Drill, Netted fabrics & many more fabrics that are in trend, some of the garment designs are highly accessorized with Module clay art headgears, Handmade jewelleries, Hand made Footwear & some of the designs have highly intricate embellishment and surface ornamentation such as Zardozi work, Kundan work, bead work, Aari work, patch work, Quilling, traditional Indian embroideries and painting are incorporated to present trends combining the materials from different state. Designer Gowns are the main highlights of the show.

Each design has a story to tell. A story which steal the heart and soul of all the audience. It’s a visual communication which personifies the audience.

The award is based on jury criteria such as justice to the theme, swatch selections, color aesthetics, innovation in silhouettes , presentation of collections with accessories, detailing in ornamentation, styling and originality.

The various category of awards include ‘ IIFT Best Designer of the Year award’ , ‘Best Designer Award’ in each course followed by first runner up and second runner up course wise.

The audience get spell bound and delighted by the display of creativity that are being displayed by their wards and loved ones. The show promises a royal, joyful, soothing treat for sore eyes with designers , models and International and National Celebrities from different part of fashion world who witnesses this fashion extravaganza of Indian Institute of Fashion Technology ‘s Annual Fashion show ‘FASHIONITE’.
