We realize that Fashion Designing is a subject that originates from applied arts, is embedded in human culture, and finds meaning when implemented in the fashion industry. The course that we have designed is industry-oriented. We have developed and maintain a close association with the industry which is considered as our well-wisher as they depend on us for supplying quality professionals who can take up important assignments in the industry.

Placement Cell is functioning at the Indian Institute of Fashion Technology with an aim to train students and raise employability keeping in mind their career aspirations in the field of fashion merchandising, fashion designing, fashion styling, fashion retailing, garment production, apparel quality assurance, fashion buyer. Every year our students undergo rigorous placement training and career guidance program from eminent resource persons from the apparel and fashion industries to gear up for employment opportunities.
From Classroom to Couture
IIFT Bangalore has produced over 10,000 designers across 25 years - NAAC-accredited and ranked #1 Emerging Fashion College in Karnataka by India Today (2024). Now the Ritam Foundation, a registered Section 8 non-profit, brings fashion design incubation to Bangalore. Students and alumni gain direct pathways from academic training to professional couture production, bridging the gap between education and industry with real placement assistance and entrepreneurial support.
